This is one of the oldest human faces’ representations ever found in Canada: an ivory mask from Nunavut (North Quebec Inuit Territory): 3500 year old (Ottawa Museum of Civilisations).
Alaska artist Aakatchaq (see previous post) seems to draw from the same inspiration. Title: ‘The Embrace’.
