Wolf Kahn with David Kapp and Robert Berlind – The Brooklyn Rail

Wolf Kahn (Germany, 1927,lives in the US) navigates between impressionism (Brambly Woods, 2006) and abstraction (Ochre and Blue, 2007).

The painter has refined his vision: few colours, mostly vertical and horizontal lines (I like these white “scratches” in both works; the composition seems captive behind broken silk filaments (or a milkweed invasion!).
